Position Description: The Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Analyst assist in supervising the disaster recovery process and develop plans for the disaster recovery functions of the main activities of the organization. In addition, during a disaster the Analyst is involved in the continued operation of the business’ infrastructure. The Analyst is also assigned for long-range disaster recovery planning to provide the highest level of protection possible for the organization in an efficient and effective manner. The disaster recovery plan must be reviewed and updated on a regular basis.
Required Technical Expertise:
- Working experience in planning and managing disaster recovery and business continuity plans and operations.
- Working experience in managing datacenters and computer operations centers.
- Working experience in planning and executing drills and tests.
- Working experience in demonstrating understanding of organization business and processes.
- Working knowledge in IT Security.
- Working knowledge in project management and the use for project management software like (MS Project).
Position Requirements:
- Minimum experience of 15 years in areas related to IT.
- BS or BA degree in computer science, computer engineering or equivalent degree.
- Proven 5 - 7 years Information Technology operation with disaster prevention/recovery experience.
- Ability to supervise multiple employees teams during the disaster recovery process.
- Knowledge of the hardware and software environment, job control and scheduling tools, problem management systems, and disaster recovery methodology.
Years Experience Required: 15 yrs+
Travel Required: 80-100%
